Community Support Service
The Finglas Centre’s Community Support Service provides a variety of supports to the people of Finglas and the surrounding area. Many of these services are free of charge. Our services are provided on a one-to-one basis by our dedicated, professional, friendly staff.
Information Services
The Finglas Centre has several staff members trained in providing you with information on your welfare rights and entitlements, back to work schemes, education and training courses, as well as general advice and information. We also keep a variety of common application forms and papers on file and can help you fill these out.
Traveller Development Support
The Finglas Centre through funding from Dublin City Council employs a part time development officer to work with the Traveller community and co-ordinate the work of the Finglas Traveller Development Group.
Community Education
The centre offers education routes to members of the community. We have a training room with 12 laptops enabling the centre to provide accessible computer training to the public and specific target groups.

Our Board
Board and Sub-committees
The Finglas Centre board is comprised of seven voluntary members, bringing added value to the Finglas community, working and volunteering through their expertise and knowledge. The Board has responsibility for governance, finance, administration, accountability, planning and direction of the centre and work closely with staff in directing their work. The board met every six weeks, with bank signatories attending the centre on a weekly basis to authorise payments.

Our Employment Support service can help you write the perfect CV. We offer a variety of CV templates, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs. We can also assist you in accessing job websites and sending e-mails to employers.
CVs are kept in our database for your convenience, and we can quickly and easily add new information to them for you in the future.
Our CV service is free of charge.
The CE Scheme is a lifeline for participants, fostering skill development and confidence, while offering on the job work experience
Through the centre’s CE Scheme, we employ fifty five CE staff while also providing outreach organisations in the community with CE staff, currently we support eight organisations in the community with a total of 24 CE workers.
The Voyages program is a transformative journey for participants, aiding addiction recovery and personal growth.
The Centre provides a drop-in service supporting clients and their families with all issues concerning their drug use.
The Tunin In is a forum for parents to navigate the complexities of teenage behaviour, fostering family resilience. This program was set up to support parents and teenagers in particular teenagers who are at risk of early school leaving. All families for this program are referred by local schools.
The part-time Traveller Development Officer is a bridge, connecting the Traveller community to opportunities and forums for policy participation.

The Charity Shop is not just a commercial venture, it is a community hub, particularly beneficial for the elderly.
Every purchase contributes to administrative funding, sustaining the Centre’s core functions.
Beyond CVs and mock interviews, the drop-in service is a launchpad for career transformations.
The centres QQI accredited training Centre is an educational facility, empowering diverse community members.
